Uncover Hidden Risks: A Chain Prompt for Assumption Mapping

This prompt guides you through a structured process to identify and analyze critical assumptions underlying your business plan. The output will be a comprehensive assumption map, categorized by risk level.

**Phase 1: Brainstorming (Assumptions)**

Instruction: List ALL assumptions you’ve made about your business, market, customers, operations, and technology. Be thorough; include both obvious and subtle assumptions. Aim for at least 20 assumptions.

Example:
* Assumption 1: Our target audience will readily adopt our new technology.
* Assumption 2: Our competitors won’t significantly change their pricing strategies.
* Assumption 3: Our marketing campaign will achieve a 10% conversion rate.

**Phase 2: Impact Assessment (Risk)**

Instruction: For each assumption, assess its potential impact on your business if proven false. Rate the impact on a scale of 1-5 (1=negligible, 5=catastrophic). Justify your rating briefly.

Example:
* Assumption 1 (Impact: 4): If our target audience doesn’t adopt the technology, it would severely impact revenue and potentially lead to business failure.

**Phase 3: Validation Strategy (Mitigation)**

Instruction: For each assumption, outline a strategy to validate or invalidate it. This should involve concrete actions, data collection methods, and measurable success criteria.

Example:
* Assumption 1 (Validation): Conduct customer surveys, beta testing, and A/B testing of marketing materials to gauge adoption rates.

**Phase 4: Prioritization (Action Plan)**

Instruction: Prioritize assumptions based on their impact score and the feasibility of validating them. Create an action plan detailing which assumptions to address first and assign deadlines.

Example:
* Prioritize assumptions with impact scores of 4 or 5, focusing on those easiest to validate first. Address the top 3 assumptions within the next month.

**Output Format:** A table with columns for Assumption, Impact Score (1-5), Justification, Validation Strategy, and Priority (High/Medium/Low).
